Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Enterprise Data Steward Lead. This role is working on our hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 days working remotely.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $120075.03 - $176110.04 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:As the global lead for data stewardship across Eaton, this role will play a crucial role in Eaton’s Data Governance Office, ensuring the strategic and operational governance of the company’s data assets. This position will report to the Head of Data Governance Office and will be instrumental in driving Eaton’s stewardship program, improving data quality, and owning cross-domain stewardship initiatives. This role will align the activities of data stewardship with the company’s objectives to enhance decision-making, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

In this function you will:

Develop and implement a comprehensive data stewardship strategy aligned with business goals.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and leverage data-driven opportunities for business process optimization.

Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data integrity and compliance.

Monitor and report on data quality metrics, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data accuracy and usability.

Facilitate the provision of high-quality data for AI and analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business needs and objectives.

Work with data scientists and analysts to refine data models and improve analytical outcomes.

Engage with stakeholders across various functions and regions to address data-related issues and support their data needs.

Leverage Lean to ensure process efficiency, standard work and standard operating procedures follow clear and reliable structure.

Drive innovation in data stewardship practices to support evolving business requirements.

Lead and develop a team of data stewards in multiple business functions and sectors, provide mentorship and foster a culture of excellence in data governance.

Coordinate with regional data stewards to ensure global alignment and adherence to data governance standards.

Oversee Data Quality dashboards.

Review and remediate data quality issues.

Communicate and escalate issues as necessary.

Prioritize and manage the execution of remediation action plans for data issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Minimum ten (10) years experience in large-scale data management and business transformation.

Minimum six (6) years of Hands-On experience as a data steward or data steward lead.

No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of an Eaton location within the United States.

Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Skills:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are vital for this role.

Strong ability to build relationships across multiple business disciplines.

Problem-solving skills, analytical skills, strategic thinking, and change management skills are essential.

Ability to communicate complex issues in simple ways.

Experience in writing and teaching standard operating procedures.
