Shuttle Drivers needed to drive for Upstate Medical University Shuttle Service in Syracuse, NY. These are local, steady routes transporting hospital employees to and from their parking areas.

We're currently looking for PT staff who can work in the afternoons, with availability from 1:30-6:30 or 2:30-6:30 Monday-Friday. We also have other hours if so desired.
Shuttle drivers earn $23/hour to start. Weekly pay!
The vehicles are newer walk-on 24-passenger shuttles that are cleaned and maintained regularly.
Full-time help is eligible for Health/Dental insurance available after 90 days (50/50 split), and paid vacation after one year. Room for advancement!
Must be over 20, customer service experience is a must! A valid NY Class B or higher CDL with passenger endorsement is required.
A valid medical card is also required. CORI checks and driving test will be conducted.
Shuttle Driver- Job Description
The job responsibilities of a Shuttle Driver may vary depending on the location where the employee is scheduled to work. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we canSafely shuttling customers to various destinationsOpening and closing doors for patronsAdhering to all traffic laws/signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our shuttlesCommunicating effectively with customers and co-workers. This includes radio contact with management, shuttle drivers and lot attendantsCompleting required pre-trip inspections to meet federal as well as company safety requirementsRecording passenger counts and trip timesCompleting necessary paperwork involved in daily operationsAssisting in equipment set up and break down (i.e. signs, cones etc.)Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanlinessCommunicating mechanical problems with shuttles to managementComplying with company procedures for shuttle operations
