Position Overview:

As the Head of Marketing, you will be a key player in delivering our business mission and amplifying our brand's value to customers. This is a unique opportunity to shape our brand's voice, craft compelling narratives, and drive awareness and engagement through creative, strategic marketing efforts. This position requires an analytical mindset, a flair for creativity, and a proven track record in driving successful B2B digital marketing campaigns.

What your day to day will look like:

  • Brand Strategy & Positioning: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to establish and promote a new category of companies. Position Walnut as a thought leader and innovator in this space by crafting compelling messaging that highlights the differentiated value in what Walnut does and value being delivered to customers.
  • Content Creation & Messaging: Craft compelling content and messaging that effectively communicates our value proposition. Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including sales presentations, website content, email campaigns, social media, and print materials.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Design, execute, and optimize marketing campaigns to boost brand awareness, engage customers, and drive lead generation. Measure and report on the performance of campaigns to ensure they meet objectives.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor positioning to refine our messaging and stay ahead in the industry.
  • Collaboration with Leadership: Work closely with the CEO and other key stakeholders to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with business goals and strategy.
  • Digital Marketing & Website Management: Oversee and enhance website content, ensuring it aligns with our brand messaging and engages visitors. Manage SEO/SEM and digital advertising strategies to drive traffic and conversions.
  • Media & Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and industry partners to amplify our brand message and drive thought leadership.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in user acquisition and growth marketing, specifically within the software development or SaaS B2B industry.
  • Proven success in developing and executing brand strategies and creating compelling product messaging.
  • Expertise in paid search, paid social, display, retargeting, affiliate, CRO and SEO.
  • Familiarity with acquisition analysis, A/B testing, and ad fraud detection.
  • Excellent business writing and communication skills, with a knack for crafting captivating and relevant messages.
  • A self-starter attitude with a strong track record of taking ownership and delivering impactful results.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
