Neurosurgery trained physician to join an established practice. Group consists of 2 Board Certified Neurosurgeons who specialize in treating all surgical cranial, spinal, and peripheral nerve pathology with the most advanced neurosurgical procedures and a customized treatment plan.

In addition to the neurosurgeons, the group has a regular locum neurosurgeon helping out in calls plus 3 advanced practitioners. Due to expansion of volume and increase in coverage, the program is seeking a general neurosurgeon with training and experience in spine and cranial surgery.

Fellowship training in spinal surgery or functional neurosurgery is preferred, though not required.

Excellent support staff including 1 Physician Assistants, 2 Nurse Practitioner, dedicated clinic staff (MA and nurse) and hospital support system. Strong referral base covering the entire state of New Mexico, with catchment population of over 2 million people.

Position Details:

• Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
• Call 1:4 to 1:5 with available locum coverage
• No trauma call
• Dedicated OR Block time with well-equipped OR rooms
• New physician expected to fill clinics very early on due to tremendous referral base
• Dedicated ICU and hospitalist team support
• Primary stroke center with plans of becoming comprehensive in near future
