Job Summary:

The SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) Analyst is responsible for the implementation, optimization, and integration of the SAP SD module within the SAP S/4Hana environment. This individual will act as the key liaison between the Sales and Information Technology (IT) departments by ensuring alignment with business objectives by designing, developing, and deploying solutions that support the SD area which includes sales order management, post-sales activities, pricing, invoicing, and customer service. The SD Analyst uses strong communication and problem-solving skills to guide the business, resolve issues, and drive improvements in the sales and distribution processes.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:

Leads the design, analysis, and implementation of the SD business processes, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements.

Oversees the existing SAP ECC system to ensure smooth operation and address any issues with sales, billing, shipping, and invoicing processes.

Distributes expert technical support to end-users for SAP SD-related issues, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime.

Configures the SAP system to meet business requirements, including pricing, taxation, shipping, and credit management, while adhering to industry best practices.

Modifies, tests, and implements SAP S/4Hana systems to align with evolving business needs, ensuring efficient and effective system performance.

Serves as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating clear communication and seamless collaboration.

Supports requirements related to connected ancillary systems, ensuring proper integration with SAP SD.

Designs and recommends process improvements, collaborating with cross functional teams such as Material Management (MM) and Financial Accounting (FI) to ensure end-to-end process efficiency.

Ensures accuracy and integrity of customer master data, pricing conditions, and other sales-related information with the SAP system.

Collaborates with implementation partners on the SAP S/4Hana project, ensuring successful execution and delivery of project milestones.

Proactively addresses real-time integration issues to prevent disruptions in sales and distribution processes.

Conducts thorough unit and integration testing for new configurations and system changes, ensuring quality and functionality before deployment.

Provides critical support during SAP SD go-live activities, ensuring the system operates as intended and any issues are resolved promptly.

Delivers training and ongoing user support to enhance the effective use of SAP SD functionalities within the organization.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build working relationships with internal/external stakeholders, customers, vendors and third parties that span across multiple business entities throughout the organization.

Strong knowledge of configuring pricing conditions and rebate agreements, including price determination, condition records, pricing procedures, and rebate processing.

Capability to collaborate with business users, sales teams, and customer service teams to gather requirements and analyze the sales and order management processes, including a deep understanding of system landscapes.

Expertise in designing and configuring the SAP S/4Hana SD module to meet organizational needs, covering master data setup, sales documents, pricing, availability checks, item category management, credit management, delivery, shipment, and billing processes.

Aptitude to lead or assist in the implementation of SAP S/4Hana SD through system configuration, data migration, integration testing, and user training.

Thorough understanding of key processes such as quotation management, sales order processing, scheduling agreements, contracts, and returns management to ensure efficient order handling.

Experience in collaborating with logistics teams and other SAP functional consultants to ensure seamless integration between sales, logistics, and other related modules (Materials Management, Production, and Logistics Execution).

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to translate complex sales and order management requirements into effective SAP S/4Hana SD solutions.

Ability to develop reports and analytics within SAP S/4Hana SD, providing insights and recommendations for improving sales processes based on data-driven analysis.

Skilled in providing ongoing support for SAP S/4Hana SD/OTC (order-to-cash) module functionality, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with technical teams for system upgrades, bug fixes, and enhancements.

·Competent in creating documentation, user manuals, and training materials, and delivering training sessions to educate end-users on the SAP S/4Hana SD/OTC module.

Proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.), Smartsheet, SAP or other ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

10+ years of experience as an SAP SD and/or OTC Business Analyst, with extensive expertise in configuring and implementing the SAP S/4Hana SD module is required.

Experience in configuring key components of the SAP S/4Hana SD module, including master data, sales documents, pricing, availability checks, credit management, delivery and shipment processes, and billing.

Posses a strong understanding of integrations between SAP SD and other SAP modules (e.g., Materials Management, Finance, and Logistics Execution), as well as experience with EDI (electronic data interchange)/IDOC (intermediate document)/BAPI (business application programming interface), Seeburger, and related systems.

Certification(s) in SAP S/4Hana Sales 2020 or above, including SAP S/4Hana SD module is highly desired.

Prior work experience in industries such as Manufacturing, Food or Beverage Manufacturing, or Retail is preferred.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an office environment with telephones, personal computers, and printers.

The noise level of the environment is usually moderate.

Sedentary position with seldom to occasional lifting of less than 20 pounds.

May require standing less than or equal to 1/3 of the day.

Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
