The Plant Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and performing repairs on critical assets throughout the plants campus-wide in such manner as to eliminate system downtime and ensure optimal client relations. In return for your expertise, youll enjoy excellent training, industry-leading benefits, and unlimited opportunities to learn and grow.Essential FunctionsOperate boilers, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, pumps, water softeners, water wells, air compressors and dryers.Monitor equipment, recording operational data, interpret data, determine proper operation, efficiency, and anticipated trouble or breakdowns.Conduct chemical analysis on cooling water, boiler water, and make needed adjustments to chemical feeds to maintain proper levels of disinfection and treatments against corrosion.Monitor plant equipment and make adjustments. Work with process instrumentation.Other duties as assigned.Willingness to Work at Various Heights:
The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in elevated environments. This includes tasks that may require being at different heights for extended periods.Ladder Climbing:
Regular climbing of ladders is a critical part of this position. The candidate must be capable of safely ascending and descending ladders of various sizes and types.Utilizing Various Lifts:
Proficiency in operating a range of lifts is essential. This involves maneuvering scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other mechanical devices to reach higher areas.Minimum RequirementsHigh School graduate or GEDA minimum of 2 years of plant or mechanical maintenance in a commercial or industrial setting.Minimum of a Class IV Stationary Engineers License or the aptitude to complete the requirements within 6 months of hire.Knowledge of standard practices of the mechanical trade.Knowledge of applicable building codes, ordinances and regulations.Knowledge of health and safety regulationsKnowledge of basic record-keeping techniques.Skill in using hand and power tools.Must be authorized to work in the US
Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00/hrThe pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicants education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.Please note that there is a 10% pay differential for hours worked during 2nd shift, and a 15% pay differential for hours worked during 3rd shift.You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.Shift:?
