The Crown Is Yours

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Proofreading Co-Op to join our team. As a Proofreading and Editing Co-Op, you'll be responsible for reviewing a wide range of marketing and advertising materials, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency. You will work closely with our creative and project management teams, providing an essential layer of quality control for our campaigns.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate interested in gaining hands-on experience in an advertising agency setting. You'll develop your proofreading skills while collaborating on real-world projects that span various mediums, including digital, TV, print, and paid social media.

What you'll do as a Proofreader and Editor Co Op:

Review and proofread marketing materials, including ads, direct mail, landing page content, and TV for grammatical and spelling errors, consistency and formatting.Ensure content aligns with client brand guidelines and adheres to agency standards.Ensure correct deliverables are being shared based on the project brief.Review and proofread assets for correct brand logos, partnership designations, teams/player lineups, casino games, and more.Collaborate with copywriters, designers, project managers and QA associates to address edits and revisions.Maintain a copy style guide and reference materials to ensure uniformity across all campaigns.Provide feedback to the creative team to improve content quality and accuracy.Support the creative department with copy revisions and final checks before publication or delivery.What You'll Bring

Current student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field.Strong attention to detail and a passion for language, grammar and accuracy.Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with AP Style is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Basic knowledge of sports league and team IP, casino games, and betting terminology. Advanced knowledge is a plus.Basic understanding of DraftKings and betting products to ensure accuracy of associating design elements via logos, matchups, phone UI, and backgrounds.Interest in digital marketing channels and advertising terminology.Ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.Basic understanding of design best practices.

The US hourly rate for this full-time position is 17.20 USD - 21.50 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
