This position is located in Aurora, CO offering opportunities for both individual activities and collaborative efforts in support of complex systems. Qualified candidates must be able to work individually and in a team setting in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position requires an individual with network administration experience on multiple networking platforms who can work in a structured configuration-controlled environment, primarily focused on the support and maintenance of real-time system applications on an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract. Qualified candidates will be responsible for leading the team in network design, upgrades, evaluating network platform level problems, and providing immediate solutions to restore service.
Responsibilities
Lead the team in network design and upgrades.
Evaluate network platform level problems and provide immediate solutions to restore service.
Perform network configuration and management of critical network environments.
Troubleshoot network architecture including network interfaces and firewalls, and make recommendations for system findings and enhancements.
Gain a detailed understanding of systems, flows, CONOPs and advanced concepts; innovate and provide strategic direction.
Perform updates, patching, and baseline changes to adhere to Information Security requirements, policies, and standards.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years relevant experience OR 13 years of experience in lieu of degree.
Experience with network configuration, VLANs, dynamic IP environments, and Cisco.
Clear understanding of the OSI model.
Experience with IPSec, multilayer switching, and VLANs.
Knowledgeable in static/dynamic IP environments, LAN/WAN interfaces, routed and routing protocols, subnetting, remote management and monitoring using SNMPv3 and SSH.
Experience with Cisco ASAs, Routers, and Switches.
Experience with Cisco IOS and NX OS.
Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with CISCO Spine-Leaf network topology/architecture.
Experience and/or knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, Multicast, and UDP.
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Professional Certifications such as Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND.
Work Environment
This position is on-site in Aurora, CO. The work environment includes working with advanced technologies and equipment in a structured and controlled setting. The role requires adherence to Information Security requirements, policies, and standards.
