Corrigan Mental Health Center (CMHC) operated by the Department of Mental Health (DMH) is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional for the position of Center Director. CMHC provides a mental health system of care that is responsive and appropriate, offering services that are of high quality, accessible and cost effective. Services are designed to be individualized, promote independence and recovery, and prevent unnecessary hospitalization. _Please Note:_ / / This position is 40 hours per week. The incumbent will work on the day shift 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Days off are Sunday and Saturday. This position participates on an on-call rotation. Under the general supervision of the Director of Community Services, the Center Director provides leadership and oversight of day-to-day operations of the Inpatient Unit, Partial Hospital, Outpatient, Adult Community Clinical Support (ACCS), and other Case Management activities, including contracted services. The selected candidate provides leadership to ensure that all services are trauma informed, person centered and support hope, healing, and recovery to the fullest extent possible. _Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):_ * Manages the day-to-day operations of CMHC including clinical oversight and support to meet the needs of the Inpatient Unit, Partial Hospital, Outpatient Service, and community programs. * Oversees budget for services and facility support to ensure efficient operations within fiscal parameters and expenditure guidelines. * Monitors third party billing to ensure that billable services maximize revenue potential; ensures that state and contracted services follow applicable laws, regulations, standards, and policy. * Manages staff to ensure compliance with human resource procedures and practices as well as collective bargaining requirements. * Supports and maintains an inclusive, accessible, and competent system of care that promotes recovery and is focused on providing recovery oriented and Person centered/Family driven services. * Manages improvement of utilization of community services and contract management using data driven processes. * Directs and supports implementation of Zero Suicide as well as competent substance use disorder treatment across state operated services. * Oversees risk management, quality management, and human rights processes to ensure high standards of quality for the health, safety, and dignity of service recipients. * Maintains Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services and Joint Commission accreditation. * Provides input into the development and analysis of Department policy and procedure; ensures that staff are appropriately trained and informed regarding all policy and practice changes. * Serves as a member of the Southeast Area senior management team. _Preferred Qualifications:_ * Exceptional clinical skills including differential diagnostic understanding, adult/family systems and the capacity to match client needs to services. * Experience and knowledge with applicable state requirements and Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services and Joint Commission regulations relating to health care facilities. * Master's degree in a related field and licensure * Familiarity with the principles and practices of human resource management including behavioral techniques, planning, forecasting, and organizational development. * Demonstrated ability to supervise staff including performance appraisal, employee coaching/training/development, and performance management. * Strategic thinker who is visionary, innovative, creative, and willing to take appropriate risk. * Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams; maintaining working relationships with other internal staff and external contacts. * Strong budgetary skills with the ability to work well with outside companies/agencies and the capacity to develop accurate RFR’s and RFP’s as well as supervise the bidding process. * Tact, diplomacy, and composure needed for interaction with contractors, vendors, and facility staff. * Thoroughness, independence, and excellent written and oral communication skills with proficient usage of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook. * Given the population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency. _DMH Vision and Mission:_ The Department of Mental Health, as the State Mental Health Authority, assures and provides access to services and supports to meet the mental health needs of individuals of all ages, enabling them to live, work and participate in their communities.
