REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:Minimum Years of Experience: 1 Year Experience in MedSurgTraveler Experience: Unit WILL NOT Accept 1st Time Travelers (Must have at least 1 year of travel experience. Prefer 2 years previous travel experience)Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: YesSkills: IV Start and Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias and Management of dysrhythmias, Med/Surg neuro EXPERIENCECerts: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS, ACLS (preferred, not required)

JOB DETAILS:RATIOS: 1:5-6Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays!36 hrs onlySHIFT: 12HR DAYSTravelers are required to work every other weekend***RTO -7 DAYS MAX*** if RTO includes weekends, time will be added to end of contract to make up for those dates.Float Requirement: Floating Required: floating required to any other MS/Tele areas, may include COVID care units. If the traveler calls in for a scheduled weekend shift, we will need to have them make up the weekend shifts based on the needs of the unit. Frequent floating may be required.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: We care primarily for Stroke patients, but also care for possible Neurosurgery patients as well as other Neuro diagnoses, such as Epilepsy, Traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas, and many more
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: We have a 4 BED Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) that is considered Intermediate level and that nurse has 4:142 daily census. 43 rooms/beds
UNIT SYSTEMS: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
SCHEDULING TYPE: Preferred Scheduling*If a traveler calls out of a shift, they are expected to make up that day the same week or at the end of their contract.
UNIT ORIENTATION: 36 Hours
SCRUBS: Navy
