The Brooklyn Center Community School (BCCS) District is seeking applicants to join our team assisting our custodial department as aDelivery Driver. Delivers food, mail, district supplies, and other products with a district vehicle. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the District Custodial Supervisor. During the summer months assists grounds crew, paint blusters, driveway stripping, and other assignments.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Pick up and deliver prepared food in a safe and timely manner.
Load the truck so all items are secure and safe for transport.
Ensure hot and cold food items are kept in compliance with standards and meet all sanitation and safety requirements.
Pick up and deliver commodity items such as, but not limited to food, goods, custodial supplies, office supplies, and instructional supplies between all sites.
Pick up and deliver to other locations, based on specific business needs.
Provide assistance to all other areas within the department as needed.
Perform routine grounds care duties including mowing and whipping grass, weeding, shoveling, and other duties as assigned.
Transport, care of strip painting machine.
Paint district parking lot curbs, parking strips, and signage.
Purchase, storage, and care of painting supplies.
Responsible for all pre and post-trip inspections on vehicle.
Responsible for general cleanliness of assigned vehicle.
Other duties as assigned.
Duty Day:8 hours- 7:00am- 3:30pmDuty Year: 260 duty days (year round)Pay: $18.40- $26.15/ hourJob Requirements: Valid driver's license, Previous experience in school food service or catering preferred. Previous experience working in a diverse urban/ suburban school setting preferred. Required Supervisory Experience: N/A, ServSafe Food Safety Certification may be obtained within one (1) year of hire. Valid State of Minnesota Driver's License with a clean driving record. Above Licenses must be kept current and valid.PhysicalRequirements:Sitting, standing, walking, squatting/kneeling, climbing, balancing, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs multiple times per shift, hearing, and seeing.Working Condition:Spends most time indoors with possible exposure to extreme heat when working with cooking equipment. Possible exposure to distraction/uncomfortable noise levels.
