Advise clients on their legal rights and prepare relevant legal documentsAttend pretrial hearings and counsel clients on case strategies following each hearingHandle court appearances, manage trials, draft motions, conduct witness interviews, and perform legal researchAnalyze case outcomes using knowledge of legal precedentsManage caseload and provide thorough legal analysis to clientsGather additional evidence to support client cases or refute prosecution chargesPrepare clients for depositions, set case goals, and collect information from witnesses and experts to bolster client defenseRequirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in criminal defenseProficient in handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levelsStrong team player with a collaborative mindset, willing to work closely with other associatesBilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred, though not requiredExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsEducation
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications and Skills
Active license to practice law in CaliforniaStrong legal research, documentation, and courtroom skillsAbility to work independently and within a teamBenefits
