The Senior Environmental Compliance Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the organization's positions on environmental policy issues regarding the impact of the organization's operations on the environment. Serves as a liaison with external government environmental agencies.

Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes as well as acting in a safe manner at all times.
Prepares weekly reports and documents as required by regulatory agencies and corporate and facility management.
Applies for original permits and maintains a schedule for renewals, reporting and provisions of all required environmentally related permits.
Conducts formal and systematic reviews of the facility systems data to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations for environmental affairs and health and safety. May provide system support including testing and service now ticket response.
Identifies problems and recommends corrections; priorities and conducts follow-ups on corrections regarding areas of non-compliance or potential non-compliance.
Advises corporate and facility management regarding procedural and operational measures to be taken to correct or minimize non-compliant activities with regards to environmental regulations.
Prepares and maintains the required environmentally related plans and procedures.
Performs audits of internal and external facilities to ensure effectiveness of compliance programs.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related required.
5-7 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) laws/regulations.
Knowledge of applicable state environmental laws/regulations.
Excellent communication (written/verbal) and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to travel 50%.
