WPSD LOCAL6, the NBC affiliate in the 88th market seeks an experienced meteorologist. This is a Monday-Friday opportunity on our top-rated morning newscasts. We are The Weather Authority in our market. Tracking storms is quite simply the most important work we do. It is work that literally saves lives. We expect commitment from our team to do whatever it takes to serve our viewers in parts of four states, on every platform, better than anyone else without regard to our own comfort or convenience. The successful applicant will have an outstanding reel that demonstrates the ability to handle wall to wall severe weather coverage, both as part of “tag team” and solo coverage. You know the Weather Company tools, every social media platform, and are congenial and collaborative. You are a graphic whiz and a great weather storyteller. You are warm, reassuring, conversational and credible. Everyone likes you and believes you. Degree in Meteorology or related field.
