The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience and have a meaningful impact on the firm’s growing practice.Duties:Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including Wills, Power of Attorney (POA), Health Care Proxy (HCP), and Revocable/Irrevocable TrustsConduct meetings with clients to provide legal counsel and ensure their needs are metAdvise and assist clients with moderate to high-net-worth estates on estate planning and tax-related mattersPerform legal and tax research to support client casesMaintain effective communication with clients, ensuring their cases are handled efficiently and timelyCollaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and staff to meet client expectationsManage multiple cases simultaneously, overseeing progress and following up on unresolved itemsRegularly review open client files to ensure issues are resolved and cases progress toward completionRecord billable time and assist in the preparation of client invoicesUphold a professional demeanor and build trust with clientsRequirements:4-7 years of experience in estate planning, estate administration, and elder lawStrong preference for candidates with an LL.M. or those with experience or interest in tax mattersKnowledge of Wealth Counsel software is a plusFamiliarity with Medicaid applications and processesStrong communication skills, both written and verbalHigh attention to detail and the ability to conduct thorough researchCorporate law experience is considered an advantageEducation:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolLL.M. in taxation is preferred, though not requiredCertifications:Active membership in the Massachusetts State Bar is requiredSkills:Excellent research and analytical capabilitiesAbility to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to clientsStrong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple ongoing casesProficiency in legal software, including Wealth CounselAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentJob Location:
