Mechanical Designer

Actalent Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for a Mechanical Designer opening with a product manufacturer located in Bellville, PA. This person will be responsible for the design of complex metal products and associated structures using Inventor as a design software.
Below is a summary of responsibilities for this position:
Participate as part of the product development team in the design and development of various mechanical equipment
Create 3D models of products to customer specifications
Ensure designs are consistent with provided estimated drawings and measurements
Collaborate with manufacturing in the creation of detailed drawings to be fabricated by the manufacturing team
Implement various symbology (welding symbology, sheet metal bend tolerancing, GD&T) as needed into drawings to ensure accuracy when components are being fabricated
Below is a summary of requirements for qualified candidates:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering CAD Technology or a related discipline or an equivalent number of years of related work experience
3D design experience (preferably using Inventor)
Experience working within a 2D CAD software (preferably AutoCAD)
Strong metals design experience (sheet metal, structural steel, and other weldments)
Strong design for manufacturability (DFM) knowledge
