This is a hands-on design role. The ideal candidate has a passion for taking on complex problems by designing elegant, simple, intuitive solutionsDescriptionAs a Product Designer, you would play a key role in shaping the user experience across the suite of apps used by Apple Store team members. This role involves creating innovative solutions that drive growth and adoption, staying curious about new spaces and technology, designing with behavioral principles in mind, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design intent is carried through to development.Key responsibilities include:- Create designs, design standards, and patterns across various digital experiences and platforms- Communicate ideas to designers, engineers, product managers, and leadership through story telling, visuals, and presentations- Distill complexity to create simple and innovative design solutions that can be adopted in Retail Stores globally- Conduct and consult on user research – analyze retail performance trends, customer insights, buyer surveys, and external market research to inform design solutions & future strategiesMinimum QualificationsMust submit a design portfolio of concepts and design solutions that includes sketches, wireframes, detailed designs and prototypes focusing on iOS, iPad & macOS platforms.At least 6 years of design experience in product design and UI related rolesPreferred Qualifications
Highly proficient and efficient with design and prototyping tools to visualize ideas and deliver work quicklyExperience designing apps at every stage of the process, from concepting through delivery, working closely with partners to ensure high quality outcomesExperience conducting or consulting on user research & usability testingFamiliarity with behavioral design principles, including understanding of human motivations, biases, and decision-making processes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present work to large groups and executivesExperienced in AI/ML and other emerging technologiesFlexible and fast learner with a proven track record delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced work environmentDegree in interaction design, human interaction, sociology, psychology, visual design, or related fieldA passion for Apple, its products, and its customersAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
