Responsibilities
The Assistant Vice President will be a member of the Corporate & Technology Services department's Operations team. The Assistant Vice President will be responsible for supplier lifecycle management including procurement and contract management. Additionally, the Assistant Vice President will be responsible for financial, planning and analysis for the department's $70mm+ budget. The candidate will report to the Operations Manager and work closely with Oaktree colleagues in other departments, including Finance, Tax, Accounting, Expense Management and Information Solutions, along with external service providers to support department operations.
Key responsibilities include:Effectively collaborate with departments, stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and suppliers to develop implement, and manage global technology procurement programs to standardize purchasing across the department and create value for the organization.Manage, negotiate and review low-risk contracts for the department in accordance with Oaktree's standard terms and conditions.Manage vendor relationships for Technology Services through effective procurement and contract management as part of Oaktree's Vendor Management program, including analyzing contracts to ensure timely renewals and beneficial terms and conditions.Be a thought partner with other members of the department with regards to supplier lifecycle including procurement, contracts, expense management and budget processes.Manage accounts payable processes to ensure timely payment of departmental expenses to avoid interruption of services.Manage department budget, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance, and partner with department leads to ensure strong financial stewardship through budgeting, financial forecasting, department-level spend management, trend analysis, and various ad hoc analysis.Improve decision-making by analyzing the financial and non-financial impact of various business and/or strategic alternatives.Understand the components, drivers and evolution of the department's expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.Drive improvement within the department and the Finance organization, by implementing process enhancements and new technologies related to budgeting and vendor management.Provide business intelligence on the department's operations, including expense allocations, metrics, and growth drivers.Analyze the profitability of department's business including expense allocations and margin metrics.Qualifications
8-10 years of relevant experience across procurement, finance, accounting and supplier management.Prior experience with managing IT purchasing, including hardware, software and mobility.Experience in managing procurement processes, including commercial negotiation, and managing supplier relationships;Advanced understanding of budget management and forecasting.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.Ability to manage tasks with competing priorities and deadlines, while independently driving projects to completion.Strong track record in engaging and managing stakeholders across different seniorities and functions.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.Familiarity with Workday or other financial planning and analysis software is a plus.Personal Attributes

Base Salary Range
$100,000 - $120,000
In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement. The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
