The firm provides a supportive environment, encouraging professional development and offering a flexible work schedule.Duties:Represent clients in Immigration Court hearings and prepare asylum interview cases.Attend interviews and appointments with clients at USCIS field offices.Conduct thorough legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and motions for immigration cases.Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and provide updates on their cases.Visit detained clients and assess available relief options for those in detention.Prepare various immigration-related submissions, including deportation defenses, waivers, and visa adjustment applications.Coordinate and organize case paperwork such as affidavits, petitions, and applications.Maintain a strict calendar, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are prioritized.Assist senior attorneys with legal tasks and case management.Handle cases related to deportation defense, visa adjustments, and citizenship applications.Requirements:1-3 years of experience practicing immigration law, including experience with Immigration Court proceedings.Strong legal research and writing skills.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with high attention to detail.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.Willingness to relocate to White Plains, NY, if not already residing in the area.Candidates pending admission to the bar will be considered.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active bar membership in good standing (candidates pending bar admission may also be considered).Skills:Proficient in legal research and case management.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in legal documentation.Ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds, maintaining sensitivity to their situations.Familiarity with common forms of relief for new immigrants and those in detention.Location:
