The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in outbound and nearshoring transactions with Mexico and Latin America and expertise in structuring transactions involving mergers, sales, and liquidations across the US and Latin American markets.Job Duties:Provide legal advice and strategic counsel on international tax matters, focusing on outbound transactions and nearshoring activities involving Mexico and Latin America.Structure and negotiate complex transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, sales, and liquidations of assets and entities in collaboration with US and Latin American clients.Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and prepare opinions on international tax issues.Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies for cross-border transactions and investments.Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop comprehensive international tax plans and solutions.Stay updated on changes in international tax laws and regulations affecting US and Latin American jurisdictions.Requirements:Minimum of 5+ years of relevant law firm experience specializing in international tax law.Full fluency in Spanish (both verbal and written) is mandatory.Top-tier academic credentials, with a J.D. from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar (California license preferred).Preferred background in tax law, such as a tax LL.M. or CPA certification.Demonstrated experience in international tax law, particularly with outbound transactions and nearshoring involving Mexico and Latin America.Proven track record in structuring transactions involving mergers, sales, and liquidations of assets and entities in the US and Latin American markets.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in both English and Spanish.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.Strong interpersonal skills for building client relationships and working effectively within a team.
