Job Description
This position offers a great opportunity to join a growing organization in an interesting industry. The successful candidate will focus on accounting matters for the Company and is a critical team player in the overall success of the finance and accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:Assist with balance sheet flux analysisSupport balance sheet account reconciliationsCompile variance data for income statement analysis against budget and prior yearPrepare and process journal entriesAssist in implementation of policies and proceduresPrepare supporting documentation for internal analysis, journal entries and footnotesMaintain and review documented procedures to ensure compliance with internal controlsTrack key accounting and reporting issues for considerationPrepare supporting documentation for the external auditors and other external partiesAssist with ad-hoc assignments, special projects and new US GAAP accounting standard implementationKey Competencies Required
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in accountingCertified Public Accountant (CPA) preferredPublic accounting firm and/or corporate accounting experienceMinimum of 4 years of related work experiencePossess a working knowledge of US GAAPExperience creating journal entriesProficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Experience with the Workday accounting system is a plusPersonal:
Results oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritizeStrong organizational and analytical skillsSelf-motivated, independent and resourcefulExcellent oral and written communications skillsDetail-oriented and capable of working in a hands-on environmentChallenges existing processes and always looks to improve and find efficiencies
For Colorado Residents only: This is an exempt position. The base compensation range for this role is $75,000 - $105,000. At VillageMD, compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. The selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan.
