Tool & Die Maker

SMV Recruiting is currently looking for a Tool & Die Maker for our client in Concord, NC. We are looking for someone to join the clients injection molding team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience creating and repairing tools and dies in injection molding (including progressive/transfer dies), and ability to use and set up CNC lathe and mill machines. Responsibilities

:

Construct and repair tools, progressive/transfer dies, fixtures, gauges, roll form tools and special tools, etc.

Utilize blueprints to create tools, machines, jigs and components

Setup CNC equipment by programming or using machine code programs

Utilize blueprints and verbal instruction to create, repair and assemble dies and fixtures

Execute total preventative maintenance schedules for tools and machines

Install parts into manufacturing machines

Perform preventative maintenance and repair on equipment and tools by using 5C practices when needed

Requirements:

5+ years experience building tools, machining parts and repairing dies is required

Injection molding experience is highly preferred

Journeyman status is highly preferred

Ability to interpret blueprints is required
