Solstice Consulting Group is seeking an
Electrical Design Engineer
to join our custom manufacturing client based in Dallas, Texas.
Role is HYBRID (3-4 days per week in office in Irving) with up to 20% domestic travel.
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and 7+ years of Engineering experience required
5+ years experience in design and project experience required
5+ years experience in PLC programming required
Base salary of $100k - $125k DOE plus 10% bonus opportunity and benefits
Role Responsibilities:
Responsible for the design and implementation of electrical engineering design processes to achieve efficient and on time projects. Activities include:
Creating motor and sensor list for project.
Creating functional descriptions for each project.
Creating project scope document for concise detail of requirements.
Creating PLC structure by equipment technology type
Creating PLC tagging system
Creating drawing structure and nomenclature by drawing type
Completion of electrical engineering calculations as required
Support and engage with 3 rd
party vendors hired to assist the electrical engineering team
Managing scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated projects with minimal guidance and technical oversight.
Developing design drawings and technical specifications to support the preparation of project deliverables such as calculations, specifications, and engineering evaluations.
Reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractors.
Traveling and participating in field installation, checkout, and start-up of equipment.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and 7+ years of design and project experience
AutoCAD Electrical experience strongly preferred
Experience with shared movement controls, servos and VFD drives (Allen Bradley, ABB, Siemens)
5+ years experience in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
Experience with OEE data collection & live, remote connection technology
Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
