Systems Engineer

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.SAir Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech IIJT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges

JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the technical implementation of programs and projectsThe Systems Engineer is responsible for developing the Operational Concept Description (OCD) based on customer objectives, eliciting requirements from project stakeholders, writing performance specifications, and developing test plans and procedures for system acceptanceThe Systems Engineer will work with the development/integration team and is responsible for the project's Preliminary and Critical Design Review (PDR and CDR) packagesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Performing test and evaluation of systems• Ensuring compliance with systems engineering process• Tailoring systems engineering process, as needed• Ensuring engineering documentation standards are met• Coordinating closely with Project Managers and Project Engineers on cost, schedule and performance• Performing other duties as assigned DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Systems Engineering degree or relevant experience

• Effective communication, strong research and problem-solving skills while self-motivatedREQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE A Bachelor of Science in engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution and two years of related engineering experience or an accredited Master of Science in engineering are required for this positionIn addition, an Engineer II must possess the following qualifications:• Professional knowledge of applicable engineering concepts and principles• Familiarity with related engineering fields• Practical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to perform routine to more complext engineering procedures and to prepare or make minor modifications of standard test procedures or test equipment work instructions• Working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools• Planning/organizational skills
