As a
Staff Software Engineer
in the
Financials division , you will help lead a team of engineers and partner with other teams to use your domain-driven design expertise to build a highly scalable and reliable platform to enable Procore to launch into global markets and offer new products quickly and efficiently.
This position will be based in Austin, TX, and report to an
Engineering Manager . We're looking for candidates to join our team immediately!
What you'll do:Continually evolve and extend our team's codebase following the principles of modularity, clearly defined domain boundaries, and concise interfacesContribute to designing and building a system that is aligned with Procore's technical vision of a service-oriented architectureWork within our Rails backend to enhance performance, flexibility, scalability, and securityCollaborate with Engineering, Product, and UX to design and build solutions that delight users and solve critical business problemsCommunicate complex problems and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholdersCollaborate across engineering teams on large-scale initiatives to further Procore's goal to connect everyone in construction on one global platformDrive innovation and change to accommodate enterprise and international customers for Procore across the organizationMentor fellow engineers in best practices, reviewing their designs and code and helping them deliver high quality softwareWhat we're looking for:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or comparable work experienceExperience developing in Ruby is required8+ years experience in Programming fundamentals, Test Driven Development and Design principlesExperience designing and building software in a Service-Oriented ArchitectureExperience maintaining and developing APIs through REST or GraphQLExperience in working with software, platforms, and infrastructure at scaleExperience in building modern Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery systems at scale

Additional Information
Base Pay Range $158,680 - $218,185. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
