Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician II Job Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour (14:00 - 22:30, Monday to Friday) Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required, 5 years preferred License: Pending state license accepted Certifications: - IAHCSMM/HSPA - CRCCST Must-Have: - Teaching hospital experience - Community hospital experience - Experience with SPD Instrument Tracking (Censitrac) - SPD Sterilization Equipment knowledge (Steris/Sterrad) - SPD Decontamination Equipment (Steris) Job Description: - Responsible for autoclaving and sterile processing tasks. - Handle a daily average surgical case volume of 40 and daily tray volume of 250. - Operate within a facility equipped with 14 surgical rooms. - Conduct cleaning of ambulatory surgery center equipment including crash carts, IV pumps, and PCA pumps. - Perform high-level disinfection (HLD), use washers/sterilizers, and manage case carts. - Experience with endoscopic ultrasound scopes (EUS), and areas including Ear/Nose/Throat, General, Laparoscopic, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Plastics, Robotics, Urology. - Utilize biological and chemical indicators for sterilization testing/monitoring. - Perform flash sterilization, steam sterilization testing, and monitoring. - Work with ortho/totals, colorectal/mis procedures. - Provide essential operational support within a short-term acute care facility. - Complete 40 hours of orientation. Additional Requirements: - No on-call required. - Compliance with fit testing requirements. - Must be open to working 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day). - Up to 7 days of requested time off allowed per contract. - Travelers must have appropriate licensing if not local.
