Data Intelligence, LLC (DI) is searching for a full time Sr. Java Developer supporting at Scott AFB, IL.
Job ResponsibilitiesFull systems development lifecycle support to the design, development, test, integration, deployment and maintenance of cloud-based enterprise applications using Java.Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, secure software solutionsCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design technical solutions, and implement software solutions that meet or exceed our customers' expectationsCollaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and specificationsWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standardsConduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineersTroubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability of software applicationsStay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and trends in software developmentSupport software development and sustainment throughout integration and deployment process.Deliver code and artifacts via the appropriate repositories within Government’s designated environment.
Required Skills/ExperienceProficiency in Java, with a good understanding of its ecosystems5+ years of experience developing Java-based applications, reusable Java librariesKnowledge of Java concurrency patternsUnderstanding of concepts including MVC, JDBC, and RESTful web servicesKnowledge of Java GUI frameworks like Swing, SWT, and AWTKnowledge of class loading mechanismsBasic knowledge of JVM (Java Virtual Machine)Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Patterns and ConceptsExperience working with popular web application frameworks like Play and SparkFamiliarity with different design and architectural patternsExperience handling external and embedded databasesExperience imp[lamenting scalable applicationsSkilled at creating database schemas that characterize and support business processesExperience implementing automated testing platforms and unit testsIn-depth knowledge of code versioning tools, for instance, Git/GitLabUnderstanding of building tools like Ant, Maven, GradleExpertise in continuous integration (CI)1 year experience with Consolidated Air Mobility Planning System (CAMPS)1 year experience with Magellan
