Sr. Business Intelligence Developer

role with Compass. In this position, you'll collaborate closely with accounting and IT teams to drive process improvements and lead impactful projects. Responsibilities include developing and managing Power BI dashboards, implementing RPA solutions, and providing technical training to enhance team expertise. If you're skilled in business intelligence and passionate about optimizing accounting processes, we encourage you to apply and contribute to Compass's success.***This role is based at our Charlotte headquarters and offers a hybrid work schedule!***Job SummaryResponsibilities:Develop strong relationships within the Accounting Services department(s) and the broader Compass organization including Compass IT and the IT project teams. Work directly with others; provide insight and support for ideas.Collaborate with accounting teams to identify and develop solutions that drive process improvements and efficiencies throughout the Accounting team. Responsible for development, management and oversight of projects and facilitation of successful operational change management.Build, implement, and document end-to-end project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.Define project scope, goals and results that support business goals in collaboration with all partners, including senior executives, sponsors, and business owners on behalf of the Accounting departments.Identify potential risks in projects and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.Participate as an active member of the Accounting Process and Innovation Forum. Represent the Projects and Accounting teams during meetings and collaborate with peers to promote technology knowledge sharing.Increase the broader Accounting team's knowledge of technology solutions by leading trainings and development sessions as a technology subject matter expert.Manage the RPA lifecycle, dashboards, and technical platforms for specified Accounting functions, including development of RPA and other associated technology solutions, process design, implementation, and maintenance (Power Platform experience preferred) including Power BI dashboards.Develop complex Power BI measures and dashboards. Utilize advanced DAX skills, design interactive dashboards, optimize data models, integrate data from various sources, implement custom visuals and security measures, and provide training and support to end-users.Base understanding of core accounting processes. Understand, implement, and adhere to proper accounting controls.Qualifications:Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems; MS Actg or MBA a plus4+ years of working experience (not including internships).Accounting environment experience 2+ years (preferable)RPA experience 2+ years of development (preferable)Power BI experience 4+ years of development (must have)Advanced reporting skills preferred - Power Query, Power BI, ExcelAbility to create new and understand existing SQL codeExperience working with Access DatabasesGeneral understanding of Automation programming (various languages).Excellent problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skillsStrategic thinking skills as evidenced by past performance.Ability to multi-task between various priorities in an ever-changing environmentExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsCommitted and enthusiastic approach to deliver solutions to business customers.Ability to manage communication at all levels of the organization.Food industry experience is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Strong Excel skills required, Access database / Tableau skills a plus)Experience with SAP or other large ERPExperience with a large company and extremely large data setsPrioritize and manage projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Ability to foster solid business partnerships with management partners across multiple disciplines.Strong data analytic skills and working knowledge of business intelligence software available.Desire to continuously learn and grow as a professionalApply to Compass Group today!Click here to Learn More about the Compass StoryCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
