Position Summary:The Mechanical Quality Control Inspector performs quality control functions to assure compliance with federal andstate regulations, and owner and client requirements for each project.
Essential Job Functions:• Provide support and training to the personnel in relation to the project quality.• Record and document all deviations from plans.• Notify management of any discrepancies found.• Monitor and report progress against inspection and test plan.• Inspect the production quality to establish requirements are being met.• Verify work is in place according to drawing and specifications.• Attends training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by department.• Assists in in the processing of installation procedures.• Notifies supervisors of any discrepancies found between work completed and material installed and owneror client quality requirements.• Performs special processes and field installation inspections and surveillance, of equipment and materials.• Performs field in-process welding inspections.• Ensures compliance with specifications, procedures, and plans.• Updates and maintains Quality Control files and documentation.• Reviews engineering drawings and tracks quality progress based on scope of work.
Required Minimum Qualifications:• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering field or BusinessAdministration is preferred.
Work Experience:• Two (2) to four (4) years of engineering and or quality control experience.• License/Certifications:o Valid Driver License – Clean driving recordo Current OSHA 10 and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) certificates or the ability to obtain upon hire.? Must be a current AWS Certified Welding Inspector.? Upholds current Welding Inspector certification.
