As part of a diverse team, the Senior Accounting Lead is responsible for oversight of Honeybee Robotics' accounting function consistent with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). These include performing month-end closing activities, reviewing account reconciliations, and evaluating revenue recognition as well as monitoring project costing. This position will have direct interaction with Finance and Operations leadership in support of Blue Origin's mission.
The Senior Accountant will work closely with Accounting leadership to ensure adequate accounting procedures and an effective internal controls structure is maintained for compliance with US GAAP and CAS. The key to success in this role is a builder's mentality passionate about driving process improvements and seeking opportunities for automation.

Responsibilities:
Oversight of Accounting Business System and ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR part 30), Cost Accounting Standards, and GAAP.Establish and implement accurate accounting methods, policies, and principles inclusive of a strong internal controls framework. Ensure revenue compliance with ASC 606.Drive the day-to-day performance of the accounting team, including accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.Provide support to Director of Finance in balance sheet and cash budgeting and forecasting.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.Partner with operations, supply chain, contracts, and finance to drive process improvements.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting, finance, or related business field.Solid understanding of US GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting.8 years experience with project accounting (ASC 606) and facilitating accounting close procedures and other accounting related functionsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.Must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:
Federal Acquisition Regulations and Government Cost Accounting Standards experience.CPA and/or 10 years in a Federally Regulated Contracting Accounting Role.
Compensation Range for:CO applicants is $106,438.50-$149,013.90;WA applicants is $115,758.00-$162,061.20
