13-week travel position available for an RN specializing in the Emergency Department at LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA.Job Requirements
Must have completed 2-3 travel assignmentsMust have 2-3 years ER experienceHigh acuity ERs, fast-paced ERs with high volumeExperience with patient ratios of 5:1Typical procedures include RSI, Sepsis interventions, Stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of the psych patient, and transfers to other facilities (EMTALA)Schedule Information
Day Shift – 1 charge, 5 RN, 2-3 medics; increase by 4-5 RN at 11am; increase by 1-2 RN at 3pmNight Shift - 1 charge, 5 RN, 2-3 medicsPatient Ratios – 4-6:1No on-call requirementWeekends are four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) in a four-week scheduling periodUnit Specific Information
