Assistant Quality Manager
to support and enhance their Quality Assurance team.Primary Purpose:
The Assistant Quality Manager will support the Quality Manager in overseeing all quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of product quality. This role involves managing quality audits, leading process improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain strict compliance with industry and ISO standards. The Assistant Quality Manager will also play a key role in developing and managing quality systems, addressing customer concerns, and facilitating corrective actions.Key Responsibilities:Quality Systems Management:
Assist in implementing and maintaining quality systems to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and company quality standards.Process Improvement:
Lead initiatives to reduce process variation and cost of quality by analyzing data, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.Audits and Compliance:
Conduct internal and supplier audits, issue Corrective Action Requests (CARs/SCARs), and ensure resolution of non-conformances.Customer Support:
Address customer complaints, leading containment actions, root cause analysis, and coordinating corrective/preventive actions.Supplier Quality Management:
Develop and manage supplier quality processes to ensure incoming components meet specifications.Product Quality Review:
Participate in design reviews, technical assessments, and FMEA, providing insights into quality and manufacturability.Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare quality reports by collecting and analyzing data, creating recommendations to drive continuous improvement.Calibration and Inspection:
Oversee calibration of quality instruments and manage quality inspection procedures.Team Collaboration:
Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure product conformance to specifications.Qualifications:Required:Proven experience in a Quality Engineering or Quality Management role, with expertise in quality assurance practices.Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality system regulations.Strong problem-solving skills, with experience in FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans, and PPAP.Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).Experience managing or supporting quality improvement projects in a manufacturing environment.Proficient in data analysis, statistical reporting, and creating Pareto charts.Excellent organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail.Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Microsoft Office Suite.Preferred:Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Auditor certification.Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt).Basic mechanical or manufacturing-assembly knowledge.Benefits:Opportunity to work in a dynamic, growing organization with high-impact brands and professional development opportunities.
