Description: Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control (MFC) is looking to hire a Detail Part and Assembly Inspector to support our Grand Prairie, TX site.The Detail Part and Assembly Inspector will perform a variety of inspection operations of mechanical parts and installations fabricated and/or assembled such as; completed systems, assemblies, tools, jigs, fixtures, prototypes, training devices and detail parts on manufacturing prototype, production development and/or production programs.In addition, they will also perform inspections utilizing a variety of techniques, inspection equipment and instruments to include visual, layout methods and various conventional types of measurement devices.Basic Qualifications:-Working knowledge of machine parts, tooling section or mechanical assembly inspection-Strong interpersonal skills-Ability to work on a team-High school degree or equivalent-Must be able to:- Read and interpret Engineering drawings- Use precision measurement equipment- Use computer programs such as Word, Excel, etc.Desired Skills:-Mechanical inspection experience-CMM experience-Penetrant inspection experienceClearance Level: NoneOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
