POSITION SUMMARY

: The Project Coordinator will perform and oversee research activities using approved protocols and techniques. Duties include defining participant samples, coordinating scheduling of interviews across a large team, writing standard operating procedures, and training and supervising Research Assistants in research project best practices, data cleaning, taking meeting ethnographies, administering quantitative questionnaires, and conducting in-depth qualitative interviews with study subjects. The Project Coordinator will run reports, create data visualizations, collaborate with other study cores, and perform other project management tasks in support of a multi-site NIH grant. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for recruiting subjects to participate in the study by using approved methodologies, such as, snowball sampling, purposive sampling. Coordinates scheduling of qualitative interviews between participants and research team. Oversees quality assurance review of the data collection forms, surveys and qualitative interview documents and audio recording for each enrollee for completion and data quality. Conducted quantitative data collection, data entry, and audits. Assist in designing and implementing data collection tools. Provides training and some supervision of data collection activities for research assistants. Performs administrative duties associated with the team's data collection including scheduling meetings. Assists with manuscript and presentation preparation and research. Coordinates and participates in hiring process for open staff roles

JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Requires Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of formal education and experience). EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant post-collegiate professional experience required. Previous project coordination also preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Excellent verbal/written English communication skills, including excellent grammatical, editing and proofreading skills. Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and other web-based applications. Ability to produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to be socially perceptive in accepting and relaying confidential information, communicating policies and procedures, and interacting effectively with a variety of Medical Center personnel and outside personnel. Strong problem solving skills.

This position is funded by a 1 year contract. There may be opportunity beyond this contract funding for position integration into ongoing operations.
