High School Diploma or GED

Seven+ (7+) years of experience in the Navy Integrated Logistics Support and System Life Cycle Support areas of the Department of Defense (DoD)/Navy Integrated Logistics Support SystemDemonstrated experience receiving and inventorying government configuration items and assigning configuration identification numbersDemonstrated experience establishing and configuring item control procedures and configuration item databasesDemonstrated experience with automated Configuration Management (CM) solutionsExperience defining traceable items and identifying methods of tracking identificationPossess a current Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearanceExcellent verbal and written communicationDesired Skills

Bachelors degree in a related fieldCandidate with active-duty Military experienceDemonstrated experience providing CM on DoD programs or projectsSeven+ (7+) years of experience supporting DoD or Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) programsThorough understanding of the Configuration Control Board (CCB) processThorough understanding of NSWC operationsDemonstrated experience in one of more of the following configuration management disciplines:

CM PlanningConfiguration IdentificationConfiguration ControlInterface ManagementConfiguration AuditsConfiguration Status Accounting

Description

Receives and inventories government configuration items and assigns configuration identification numbersEstablishes and maintains configuration item control proceduresMaintains configuration item database and product web-based reports on content of databaseProduces reports indicating status of configuration items and communicates to managementAssists developers with assigned configuration itemsConducts periodic inventory reviews and communicates results to managementMaintains and reports the inventory of Government Furnished Property (GFP)Maintains and inventories Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) in accordance with the NAVSUP Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) Control and Management (HMC-M) - Pollution Prevention (P2) ProgramsDefines traceable items and prescribe method of tracking identification including serial or lot control[#CJ #LI-TF1]
