The Nucor Raw Materials Group is seeking a talented Business Intelligence Developer to join our team and harness the power of data to fuel our company’s growth. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain innovative BI solutions that provide valuable financial and operational insights, enabling data-driven decisions across multiple departments. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping strategies and driving business success.
As a key contributor, you will design and build data pipelines, models, dashboards, and reports that support critical decision-making across the product group and divisions. Additionally, you will ensure the performance, availability, and reliability of BI solutions, delivering a seamless user experience.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:- Minimum three years BI experience developing data pipelines/ETLs, and building reports and dashboards
- Participate in requirements gathering with key stakeholders
- Design and implement the logical and physical data models, and builds reports and dashboards
- Transition developed solutions to customers and provide training as necessary
- Analyze data for potential discrepancies, investigate errors, and perform data cleanup
- Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of developed solutions
- Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members
- Knowledge and/or experience with Agile development approaches and techniques
- Self-starter who performs duties with moderate to low supervision
- Team player who is committed to both the team and the mission
- Bachelor’s degree in IT/IS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of analytics platforms in Databricks, Azure, data lakes, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience using Power BI, DAX, and/or MDX expressions for complex data modeling and reporting.
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, including its underlying data entities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, macros, and pivot tables.
