Position Description

Develops, deploys, and supports key software applications and features using Java EE, Apache Tomcat, Spring MVC/Spring Boot, Logback, SLF4j, and Maven. Decomposes sophisticated business problems into creative, efficient, and scalable solutions using MV*/SPA JavaScript frameworks (Angular, Vue, React JS). Performs client-side unit testing frameworks and tests runners using Jasmine and Karma.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participates in architecture design teams.
  • Defines and implements application level architecture.
  • Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
  • Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.
  • Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
  • Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
  • Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.
  • Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
  • Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
  • Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
  • Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
  • Advises senior management on technical strategy.
  • Mentors junior team members.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Education and Experience

Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Full Stack Engineer (or closely related occupation) analyzing, designing, developing, testing, and implementing internet and client/server applications.

Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Full Stack Engineer (or closely related occupation) analyzing, designing, developing, testing, and implementing internet and client/server applications.

Skills and Knowledge

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Experience (DE) in the conception and execution of subgraphs employing GraphQL, Spring Graph, Spring Boot, Apache Camel, Spring Security and Oauth2 including the end-to-end development of a subgraph using Apollo client and integrated with Apollo Supergraph.
  • DE in the design and implementation of subgraphs, crafting REGO OPA policies, and ensuring secure management of policy files by storing them in AWS S3. Adept at seamlessly integrating OPA as a sidecar within Kubernetes pods, effectively harmonizing it with subgraphs for optimal performance. Successful integration with Stratum Gateway, implementing modern authentication protocols through the use of JWT tokens.
  • DE gathering business requirements, including analyzing and creating algorithms and flowcharts to depict the overall flow of business processes using Confluence and documenting functional and technical requirements through the creation of business requirements documents.
  • DE building and deploying Cloud applications by Blue/Green strategy via CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins and uDeploy to AWS Kubernetes.
