Responsibilities of the Database Administrator:
Ensure DBMS security aligns with the information security plans.Install and manage DBMS in the designated environmentHelp users access DBMS and monitor system performance.Offer support for DBMS applications and conduct user training.Develop internal and external documentation for DBMS functionality.Assist with database backups and conduct disaster recovery drills.Write and debug programs for system maintenance tasks.Expertise in Windows Server, Linux, and various scripting languages.
Qualifications of the Database Administrator:
Certificate, Associates or Bachelor's degree in a related field.2-4 years of DBMS experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL, or similar systems.Programming proficiency with SQL, HTML, Bash shell scripting, JavaScript, PHP, Perl, Java, Cold Fusion, and Python.Proficiency with the following operating systems: Windows Server, Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS, RHEL.
