Job Summary
This positionshall be responsible for working in collaboration with the project management team to ensure projects are delivered in compliance with all contractual terms and conditions and LAWA, City State and Federal requirements. These projects may include, but are not limited to: Airline Terminal Improvement projects, Airport Service Improvement projects, Terminal Development projects and Asset Renewal.
Years of Relevant ExperienceThe position requires 10+ equivalent years of years or more of cost engineering experience directly related to construction projects, preferably aviation projectsEssential Job Functions* Individual will perform cost analyst duties, responsible for overall development, evaluation, and quality assurance of cost estimates, including ad-hoc special studies, in support of investment decisions for information technology systems.* Individual will provide analytical solutions, including development of program life cycle cost estimates (LCCEs), evaluation/review of LCCEs, economic analysis such as Net Present Value (NPV), Return on Investment (ROI), and Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and other business case documentation for a wide range of investment analysis tasks.* Work will include data collection, data normalization, life cycle cost analysis, cost model development, cost risk analysis, earned value analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and other technical analyses as needed.* Demonstrated experience managing and reporting the cost components of large-scale, complex projects; including developing and managing a progress reporting methodology for a complicated design effort* Individual will create visualizations, including dashboards, flow charts, and graphs to brief stakeholders* Experience with Design-Build and Construction Management at Risk delivery methods is desirable* Demonstrated ability to understand technical and complicated construction program and the ability to communicate progress to both technical- and management-level personnel* Individual will have an interest and ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment with constantly evolving responsibilities and work priorities* Individuals will be required to contribute effectively to working groups through oral and written communication and cooperative working relationships.Education RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related technical field required.Master's degree can count for additional years of experience.Skills Required* High level of proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project and other MS Office Products.* Strong analytical background and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Proficiency in use of cost estimating and risk tools such as Crystal Ball, ACEIT, SEER-SEM, and/or @RISK.* Certifications may include PMP, PE, and/or any other relevant Professional Licensure or Certification.
