Subrogation Paralegal

The Denver office of Cozen O'Connor is currently searching for an experienced paralegal with a minimum of 3+ years of experience working in a busy plaintiff-oriented practice to support the attorneys in our Subrogation Department.
Candidate will have proven civil litigation experience with knowledge/experience of state and federal courts, rules of civil procedure and e-filing.
The candidate should be detail oriented, able to work independently, and possess excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills.
Candidate must have the motivation and skill to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and have proven technology skills. The firm is offering a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in the office, 2 days remote for all paralegals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze and summarize damages
Case file management (create, organize, track and maintain files; monitor calendars and meeting deadlines; document actions; input information into file database and case management software)
Document management including but not limited to review of documents, electronic bates labeling, organization of documents and compiling information for discovery responses/pleadings/motions.
Assist with all aspects of a case from discovery to trial to include, preparing initial Rule 26 disclosures, responding to discovery requests, assisting with deposition set-up and preparation, and assisting with trial preparation
Coordinate loss scene examinations, destructive testing and depositions
Review business records and prepare chronologies
Preparing FOIA requests
Conduct research on LEXIS, Westlaw and other online computer assisted research databases.
Witness investigation
E-filing in both state and federal court
Travel to loss sites and out-of-state trials
A four-year college degree and/or paralegal certificate is required.
