Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to manage, prepare and oversee tax returns for individuals and businesses insuring compliance and timely planning functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate taxation and be skilled in tax research, reporting, and strategy. This role requires an analytical mindset and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for various entities, ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Conduct tax research to identify tax-saving opportunities and develop strategies to optimize tax liabilities.

Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax projections and forecasts.

Manage tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as necessary.

Stay updated on tax law changes and assess their impact on the company.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior tax staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Prepare and maintain documentation to support tax positions taken on returns.

Assist in special projects related to mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a corporate environment.

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
