Unit staffing description- (unit

secretaries and tech availability) :

4-5 Nurses, 1-3 PCTs, Dept. Secretarty 7a-7p, currently 3 days a week,

hiring for 2 nd

to cover 6 days a week.

·

Type of equipment : General Nursing

equipment for care of med surg patients, specifically related to post op hip,

knee, spine and other orthopedic procedures.

Documentation system: Meditech

·

Scheduling requirements: 3 12s week,

every other weekend. No guarantee of block scheduling.

·

Floating policy: Contract Labor will

float to like units (med surg)

·

Patient Experience requirements:

Bedside shift report, Safety Roundng (1hr day, 2hr night), Use of AIDET for

all interactions, Treat all patients as family with courtesy and respect.

Keep patients informed of care and make personal connections.
