TravelThe registered nurse will perform direct patient/resident care and delegation to patient care technicians in providing care and comfort to the residents. Knowledge and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines relating to facility care will be maintained. This position has basic medical/surgical knowledge to care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (30%)* Regularly assesses patient's/client's needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician-authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice.
(30%)* Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc.
(20%)* Evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care. (10%)* Processes physician/provider orders and performs physician-ordered care accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
(10%)* Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
Submission RequirementsTravelers for this position need to be okay floating between 2 MyMichigan hospitals in Midland and in Saginaw (32 miles apart.)
The location being applied for will be the main assigned site, but may be asked to float to the other hospital for critical staffing support.
