is looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the general accounting functions including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, general ledger, budgeting, fixed asset management, and taxes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Help with monthly, quarterly, and year-end activitiesAssess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvementsPrepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completenessPerform ad hoc analysis and projects as requestedDevelop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, performance evaluations, and maintaining strong employee relationshipsWork with external auditors to ensure compliance with GAAP and financial reporting accuracyEnsures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA or MBA preferred.5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory roleThorough knowledge of U.S. GAAPExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving resultsKnowledge of employee relationship-building and performance-management techniquesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with other financial systems.Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Benefits :
