About the role
We're hiring a VP of Marketing - a visionary leader who will elevate The Information's visual and tonal identity while driving greater awareness of our brand and world-class journalism. As a core member of our management team, you will work closely with the CEO, COO, and other revenue leaders to ensure that brand messaging and marketing strategies align with company goals. This role is pivotal in shaping our audience connections and amplifying our impact across every facet of the business.
What you'll do
Brand Leadership:
Drive The Information's brand positioning across channels, ensuring it reflects our journalism and role in shaping the conversation around the news.Dynamic Brand Moments:
Create strategies that capitalize on timely news cycles and impactful brand moments to elevate our voice.Messaging Consistency:
Develop and maintain clear, cohesive messaging across all organic and paid channels, ensuring alignment with our mission, core values, and evolving stories.Social Media Innovation:
Expand our social media presence through creative, news-driven activations that deepen audience engagement and provide reinforcement to our brand strategy.Collaborative Visual Identity:
Partner with the Design Director to evolve our visual identity, ensuring it remains cohesive, impactful, and in sync with our latest journalism.Event Marketing:
Lead the strategic promotion of The Information's events, maximizing engagement through the pre-event buzz, live coverage, and post-event outreach.Impact Reporting:
Analyze and report on the effectiveness of brand marketing initiatives across channels to express and measure impact.Who You Are
A seasoned marketing leader, you excel in crafting and executing strategies that build strong, distinctive brands in the digital landscape. You're results-oriented, thrive in fast-paced settings, and enjoy working cross-functionally to enhance brand identity and drive growth. Your expertise spans digital marketing, audience engagement, and subscription models, and you balance big-picture vision with a meticulous focus on execution.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a senior marketing role, with a focus on digital marketing and subscription-based models for consumer or B2B brands.Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.Proven experience in defining and differentiating brands through brand and product marketing. With demonstrated success in scaling digital impact through innovative marketing approaches.Strong experience managing and collaborating with internal and external teams, and building partnerships with leading agencies and freelancers.Excellent storytelling skills across multiple formats, with superior communication and project management abilities.Hands-on, proactive approach, equally comfortable with high-level strategy and day-to-day execution.Why Join Us?

Salary Range: $180,000 - $240,000 USD Annually + Bonus + Benefits
