Role Summary
The Senior Procurement Manager - Long Lead Equipment establishes strategies and execution of plans for the acquisition of large, complex equipment and materials for construction projects. The position applies best-practice sourcing techniques to support the procurement needs of operations and corporate business units. This position also provides support and guidance on all elements of the procurement life cycle. This position will promote a service oriented and efficiency minded approach to the work and seek to find ways to grow the team's impact. PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT FAMILY - CORE
Engages project teams to identify key supply and material categories, identifies suppliers and vendors, and develops an engagement strategy based on scope and scale.Develops supplier / vendor performance management processes in collaboration with Risk Management, Legal and project teams, and uses performance data to propose supplier / intervention actions.Negotiates pricing agreements and contracts with identified suppliers and vendors.Plans and leads strategic sourcing events such as bulk purchases, major RFx's, etc.Develops industry specific "best practice" knowledge base and communicates broadly through lunch & learns, small wins, and other avenues.Uses data insights to identify opportunities and takes appropriate steps to engage project teams.Proposes support plans including but not limited to initial setup support, commodity purchases, tactical support, chargeability targets.Collaborates with project teams to develop forms, criteria, and processes for project support (general conditions, divisions, etc.).Leads process improvement initiatives with project teams, IT, and other end users.Leads training topics related to procurement tools and processes with end users.Provides support and maintenance of service provider and supplier / vendor agreements.Reviews scope of work documents to determine the procurement requirements of the project.Serves as subject matter expert for sourcing and procurement practices.Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core

Manages full procurement life cycle for projects including planning, execution, and analysis.Initiates and leads vendor negotiations and serves as liaison between strategic suppliers, vendors, and JE Dunn.Actively seeks out opportunities for Procurement to collaborate with and support other departments across JE Dunn.Utilizes spend data, market analysis, and other inputs to drive strategic business decisions including aggregating vendor spend or proposing bulk purchase initiatives.Develops procurement support strategies for operations and corporate departments.Collaborates with D&I and Operations to develop a supplier / vendor diversity roadmap and initiatives.Partners with Legal and Risk Management to develop a comprehensive contract workflow and associated procedures.Works collaboratively and creates relationships with a variety of stakeholders, such as project team members, suppliers, vendors and clients.Facilitates supplier / vendor performance management strategy for assigned relationships in collaboration with Risk Management, Legal, and Operations and drives ongoing utilization.Works with IT to implement technology initiatives to facilitate procurement activities.Collaborates with Accounts Payable and IT to facilitate spend analytic reporting for audiences and dashboard.Executes Operations support strategy including policies and processes to automate project procurement needs and metrics to track effectiveness.Gains field operational exposure through onsite project support, as opportunities exist.Manage supplier and vendor relationships and interfaces with suppliers and vendors during the RFP and negotiation processes.Collaborates with operations and field staff to develop more economical ways to construct projects during the preconstruction process.Provides training and mentorship to others.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
