Description
As a member of the Asset Management accounting team, the Senior Accountant is responsible for working closely with both the Accounting Manager and Wolff's third-party property management companies to ensure quality, timely, and accurate financial statements are produced, with the end goal of providing the best information possible to company stakeholders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Complete timely, thorough reviews of financials statements prepared by 3rd-party property managers
• Provide accurate annual real estate tax amortization and impound schedules to third-party property management companies
• Attend monthly financial review calls to identify additional accounting items to be addressed in the next period
• Collaborate with owner Asset Managers on financials and treatment of unique accounting-situations
• Facilitate transactions applicable to the senior accountant's portfolio such as refinances, and dispositions
• Understand Wolff processes and policies, and strive to improve and automate them
• Assist the Asset Management Accounting team with ad hoc invoice processing, account audits, and allocations as needed
Requirements
3+ years of relevant accounting experience and Associate's degree Or 2+ years of relevant accounting experience and Bachelor's degreeExperience in multifamily property accounting and/or Yardi software preferredOrganization and time management skills and the ability to prioritize workloadStrong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently as neededOrganized, flexible, and easily adaptable to changing conditionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work well in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environmentHigh ownership of work product and dedication and commitment to driving resultsStrong attention to detail while possessing the ability to understand high-level concepts
