Middlesex Orthopedic & Spine Associates (MOSA) has an exceptional opportunity for a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join its dynamic team. The new provider will work closely with a pain management physician in the Middletown location. This well-regarded practice is committed to superior clinical outcomes and provides a highly collegial and supportive work environment. Robust compensation and benefits package offered including 5 weeks PTO and continuing education allowance.
Orthopedic Associates of Middletown and Middlesex Orthopedic Surgeons recently joined forces as MOSA to better serve patients in central Connecticut. This new partnership provides its communities with advanced, accessible, and vertically integrated orthopedic care. With 17 sub-specialty trained physicians practicing across multiple locations, MOSA is the largest and most established practice in its markets. The physicians provide expertise in the full spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries including sports medicine, minimally invasive orthopedic spine surgery, total joint replacement, foot/ankle, hand/upper extremity, and pain management. MOSA also offers onsite digital imaging and state-of-the-art physical therapy and MRI.
Highlights:Perform comprehensive and problem focused history and physical exams, interpret and correlate laboratory and diagnostic procedures. Interpret and correlate subjective and objective data to formulate a differential diagnose and establish a working diagnosis. Formulate a treatment plan for Spine and Orthopedic problems within scope of practice. Implement therapeutic intervention for specific conditions when appropriate. Exercise judgment on problems requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation by the supervising physician or other health care professionals.Order, collect, and perform appropriate laboratory or diagnostic procedures, and studies including but not limited to blood and tissue specimens. Order or perform diagnostic studies such as but not limited to EMG, electrocardiogram, compartment pressure measurements, and x-ray examinations including special x-ray examinations CT, MRI, and bone scans etc.Perform procedures such as but not limited to, trigger point injections, bursal injections, and joint injections.Order, prescribe, dispense, and administer medication, orthosis, orthotics, braces and other orthopaedic devices as may be allowed by state legislation.Complete daily tasks and patient messages while providing appropriate and direct patient care to allow a positive patient experience. Provide education to patients and their caregivers to allow positive outcomes.Collaborate with other Midlevels, Physicians, and Consulting Specialists to provide thorough patient care.ModMed EMRWork schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pmNo weekends or call requirementIND2
