Position Highlights:
Quality vs. quantity - typically see 14 to 16 patients per day (30 min per visit)Instead of RVU or volume metrics, our physicians are measured and rewarded on quality of care (most physicians earn $50,000, paid semi-annually)Start with 160 hours PTO in first year, plus 5 days for CME, and the clinics are closed for 8 national holidaysStrong clinical support team that includes NPs, PAs, RNs, LVNs, MAs, nurse educators, case managers, clinic administrators, referral managers, coders, centralized scheduling, nurse advice line, and robust ITCollaborate with our primary care physicians (IM & FM), hospitalists, and network of employed/contracted sub-specialistsWhat makes an Optum career different?

Required Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), or M.B.B.SBoard certification or eligibility in Family or Internal MedicineActive, unrestricted medical license in Texas or ability to obtain prior to employmentValid DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employmentPreferred Qualifications:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluencyA working understanding and support of a managed care environment
