Senior Accountant

LHH Recruiting Solutions is looking to fill a Senior Accountant job opportunity for this East Bay company located in Oakland, CA. This position is 100% in office! The right candidate should have at least 5 years of progressive experience as senior accounting professional. The candidate will report to the CFO and be responsible for corporate accounting functions, annual close activities, financial reports, controls, budgets, and if youre looking for a position to grow and take that next step into a managerial role this may be the ideal job for you.
Responsibilities:- Manage the day-to-day general accounting activities (General Ledger, Reconciliations, Journal Entries, Sales & Use Tax, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable)- Provide financial statements and reports to management team- Manage the cash flow and corporate budget process- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls (Create processes & procedure)- Assist CFO on projects as assigned
Qualifications:- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred- Construction industry experience required- Job cost experience preferred- Solid foundation in accounting knowing your debits and credits (GAAP)- Software experience with a medium to large ERP accounting platform- A hands-on leader, team player, helpful, and friendly- Attention to detail, problem-solver, and strong time management skills- Excellent communications (written & verbal)- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel - Advanced, Word & Outlook)
Experience: 5 years of accounting experience (Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor)Employment Type: Temp to Hire

$45.00 to $50.00 per hour
